The Latest and the hottest The new site of National Informatics Centre , Purnia (Bihar) have been inaugurated by the Mr. R . K. Khandelwal , IAS , District Magistrate , Purnia (Bihar) on 28/12/2001 in the Collectorate premise. The new centre is having working area of about 1400 Sq. ft. and have been provided with all necessary facilities to make sense of true computer environment . The centre is equipped with three air-conditioning machines . Separate rooms for UPS & Terminals have been provided and altogether twenty data entry personals may work with ease . DIO has been given one good chamber from where he may monitor all ongoing jobs . The mirror glassed tube lights , good quality vinyl flooring & standard alumunium/glass partition have given a decent look to this centre . This day is unforgettable for us not only because the birth of a real computer arena which shows the feelings of IT culture among the people of poor state of Bihar but another mile stone has also been achieved when a web site designed & developed by NIC , Purnia have been inaugurated & published in the Net by the Collector , Purnia . The web site is capable to give answers to queries of end users and promises to get updated in regular intervals . No doubt , the people of NIC have succeeded in developing IT culture among the common man and day is not far off when the dream of our Nation will turn into reality and incense of Information Technology will be felt everywhere. Lets us share few unforgettable moments which we have felt on 28/12/2001 and have captured in a camera .
