New Milestone 1. Monitoring of Old Age Pension / Family Benefit Scheme / Maternity Benefit Schemes Details of about 18735 beneficiaries under Social Security Pension Schemes have been entered into computers year wise. This has been done using MS – Access tool. Query modules as per the requirement of Collector, Purnia have been made to monitor the project on desktop itself. Taking the entry date as reference, priority level has been generated and thus made the schemes more transparent and easy to access by all. Reports on hardcopies as well as in floppies have been sent to Govt. District Arms Monitoring system This project was earlier done in Fox plus and was limited to reports generation only. Once NIC decorated the Collector’s office with Window based PCs, Collector, Purnia desired to change this system onto window platform and made it query based also. We used tools of MS-Access to give this project a meaningful shape. Normal queries have been framed and placed on Desktop to see the result on single touch in Computer Screen. The entry of arms under different categories have been made on Unix based Fox plus and finally imported to MS-Access tables to incorporate data in the window based software. The various queries of 1380 weapons of different categories have been designed in such a way that a new user may utilize the system with its full potency. Reports generated through the software are nice formatted and have professional look as well. The MS-Access based MIS for General Provident Fund Getting overwhelmed with above mentioned two projects (Sl. No. – 3 & 4), we have been given another good assignment, a dream project of the district as Collector said, relating with calculations and generation of account slip, collateral evidence (better known as CE) and checklist for government employees to get their GPF claims. This project too has been made in MS-Access platform and is now in use in the district. This software is accepting online data as well as treasury data to generate various GPF slips and is very simple to use. There are also provisions for making entries for GPF master data & treasury schedule. Again software is user friendly and nevertheless gives a professional look and easy to use. File Management System This software is extremely useful for the management of files of the district administration. It ensures entry of each file in the software and user may choose the coded destination of file. As soon as files come back, the software updates its entry with the instructions written over the file. Now the authority may get status of any file including its dispatch and return with specific order/instruction written over the file by the reviewing officer. So just keep entry on, the software will take care of the movement/status of files. 5. Preparation of Gradation list of Collectorate staffs Year wise gradation list of staffs of Collectorate Purnia have been prepared using Fox plus tools in Unix environment. Data of 14 years have been incorporated and reports generated so far distributed to all concerned for objection, if any. Final list incorporating various objections are being prepared. 6. Preparation of District Census database of the Year – 2001 Using tools of MS – Access, a handbook containing census different parameters relating with SC, ST and other populations have been prepared. The projection of different items, which have yet not been published for the year 2001 is based on decadal Growth Rate and results achieved so far, found very near to reality. This very thing helped district administration in many ways as Population of Census – 2001 have to be incorporated in many places to carry on different projects of the district. 7. Land Record Project The Land Record Project sponsored by Govt. Of India has been adopted in this district on priority level. To make data entered into the computer, a vendor has been selected and data of circle Dagarua is being entered.
